Thumbposition: In One Position: Doublestopped Exercises: Part 3
On this page we present the “Cossmann-style Doubletrill” exercises which are so good for finger strength, agility, coordination and placement (intonation). In these exercises we have two fingers moving on each string. These are the ultimate level exercises for doublestops in one position, which is why we will ideally practice the two previous preparatory level exercises first (here).
There are a total of six possible finger combinations with two fingers on each string, shown here in the table below.
