Piazzolla: Ausencias: Transcribed for Cello

Here is the sheet music for Astor Piazzolla‘s (1921-1992) “Ausencias” in a version for cello. Piazzolla composed the music for more than 40 films and this slow tango appeared as part of the soundtrack for one of his last ones: “Tango: The Exile of Gadel” released in 1986. “Ausencias” translates from spanish into english as “Absences” and we can certainly hear the gentle nostalgia in this beautiful piece.
