Mozart: Piano Sonata K457 in C Minor: For Cello and Simple Accompaniment
Mozart‘s magnificent Piano Sonata K547 in C Minor is offered here in a transcription for cello and simple accompaniment. The entire sonata has been transposed down by a minor third in order to make it more easily playable on the cello.
MOVT I: Molto allegro
Bar 51, the most difficult bar in this movement, has been taken down an additional octave to make it more playable. It is shown as an annexe at the end of the movement in its “true” register for anybody who might like to try it in Mozart’s original high register.
